The campingsite at Staðarborg

The campingsite is about 625km away from Reykjavík and about 100km from Seyðisfjordur where Smyril Line lays up.

From Breiðdal it's only 3 hours drive to Snæfell (in the Highlands) mountain in west and Lóni (glaciers) in south. Short way to mountain hiking and beautiful hiking paths at Hamarsfjordur or Öxi. Variety of wild- and birdlife. Goose and ptarmigan hunting. There are also bountiful salmon river and trout lakes.

Breiðdalsá river and Tinnudalsá river are known for salmon fishing and river trout fishing near the coast.
Diversity of recreation is in the area for everybody in a beautiful surronding of the nature. Exiting hiking paths all arround, swimming pool and sightseeing by boat.

You can go sailing arround the islands and see the the bird life, seals and whales, you can also borrow a boat for the children and sail on the pond.

Open fire is forbidden. Dogs are allowed in a leash.
